Sweet summertime...

Summer has been wonderful for us! My boys love anything outside, especially if it involves water.

Last week, we went to the sprinkler park here in Collierville with Ashley and Ella. It was SO MUCH FUN! Ashley, thanks for sharing the pictures with me! We can't wait to go again... this time, let's take a picnic and our husbands :)!

He was headed for the lake, no doubt. I chased him and chased him and even broke my flip flop!

I expected Carter to be more afraid, but he walked around like a pro!

The day after the sprinkler park, Eddie, my dad and Eddie's dad put up this playard/swing set for the boys. Eddie said it would have been easier building a house :)... it took 60 hours!!! BUT, it was worth it... my kiddos LOVE it! We are outside every afternoon playing on it!

This was too cute not to share... could anyone else just suck his little cheeks off??? He was a sweet boy while everyone worked.

Eddie has to work A LOT right now, so when he is home, the boys are all over him. He gave Will a little ride on his shoudlers. Will is saying "cheese" in this picture!

The 4th was pretty low key... Eddie had to work, of course, so the boys and I went to Booneville for a little family time. We hung out at the pool on Sunday. I wasn't able to get a lot of pictures, since I was in the pool the majority of the time, but Will was SO brave this time. He loves to jump off the side and actually liked wearing floaties. I hope he is a little fish by the end of the summer.

He also loves that his nana has a kiddie pool for him. Again, he said "cheese" :).

Will was passed out in the car during supper. We checked on him every 5 minutes, but didn't wake him up b/c he was EXHAUSTED and he and Carter slept the whole way home for me, which was relaxing! He was starving when we go home...

Annnnnd, I had an awesome day today with my guys. We swam and played outside all day. I wish I had EVERY Monday off from work :).

Carter's 1st birthday party

We celebarted Carter's 1st birthday on Sunday, June 27th. He had a wonderful day and had NO trouble going to bed that night! Here are some pictures from the big day.

We "attempted" to get a picture with Carter. He was a little over all of the pictures and refused to participate :)! I don't blame him... all of the other kiddos were outside.

Present time... we didn't get a ton of pictures of him opening presents, but he had a great time. Thanks everyone for all of his gifts. Eddie says we have a lot of old toys to throw away now :)

12 month check up and Father's Day Weekend

It has been a while since I have blogged. I took Carter for his 12 month check up and here are his stats:

He was so amazing at the doctor. He whimpered when he got his shots and when I picked him up he was releived and never made another fuss! He has expanded his vocabulary -- he says "quack, quack", no-no, nana, and uh-oh. He is Alllllll over the place! Love, love my sweet little baby!

This past weekend, the boys and I headed to Booneville, since daddy had to work. We spent Saturday at the pool with Eddie's parents and Saturday night we celebrated my twin nephews, Brandon and Jordan's THIRTEENTH birthday... made me feel old! They should still be babies! Will sang Happy Birthday to them alllll day :). Here are some pictures.

Carter LOVES the water. He splashed around and liked the floats.

Will loves the water, but really loves nana and papaw's golf cart. He said ride and water all day! Happy Father's Day to one special papaw... my boys adore Papaw Chittom!

Carter was quite exhausted, so he napped on the swing with Nana while Will and I played.

This is officially my independent, fearless 2 year old who has learned to throw some hissy fits like no other, but most of the time he is a happy little guy!

I didn't get a lot of pictures of the party, but here is an adorable one. This is my 5 month old nephew, Brylin. He is adorable and NEVER cries! JEALOUS!

And here are the official teenagers! LOVE these boys! I am so proud of them!

We also celebrated Father's day with my daddy! He is adored by his daughters and SEVEN grandboys :)! We love you, daddy!

Annnnd when we returned Sunday after church, we saw our daddy. Eddie is Will and Carter's hero. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful daddy! We love you!

Happy 1st birthday, Carter!

Last Monday, June 7th, Carter turned ONE! I must say, that up to the big day, he had a really rough time. He caught a stomach bug and was sick Thursday and Friday, so we had to cancel his party. To top it off, he had to get antibiotic shots three days in a row for a double ear infection :(. At least he didn't have one on his birthday! All of the sickness did not slow the little guy down. He loved all of the attention, presents, and chocolate that he got on his birthday.

Updates... He is a professional walker now, although he still crawls if it gets him from A to B faster. His new favorite word is hot. He says it when he eats, when he gets in the bathtub, when he is outside, etc. He loves to wave and say bye bye or hi right now and throw things, following up with uh-oh (he learned this from Will). He also says whoa and yay. He and his big brother are besties... nobody in the world can make Carter belly laugh like Will. Here are some pictures of my precious little guy on his birthday.

Eddie pretty much worked 24 hours a day last week for the tournament, so I loaded the boys up to go see him. Carter wanted to see his daddy on his first birthday, but all the festivities and bath wore him out...

Daddy took us for a ride around the course. The boys had a ball. Carter waved and said bye bye each time we passed someone.
