15 months old

Our precious little Carter was 15 months on the 7th. I am amazed at how much he has learned in the past month. People always say that the youngest grows up faster than the first, and I think it is totally true. His vocabulary has increased, he now uses a spoon to eat, he is learning to count and is identifying he body parts like a pro! He is his daddy's biggest fan and adores his big brother MOST of the time :). Here are some pictures.

He was clapping and yelling "Yay" because his daddy was home.

Will taught him how to climb up the slide.

He LOVES to ride Will's tractor... sometimes more than Will!

He is pretty stinkin cute in a hat :).

The picture below is my favorite... the boys expressions are priceless. Love my boys; all 3!

I am currently debating a hair cut (trim); I adore his hair, but am often told that he looks like a girl and his daddy thinks it is time. What do you guys think?

Labor Day weekend fun

We enjoyed a laid back Labor Day weekend with family. The weather was perfect and the boys LOVED playing outside, as usual. Here are a few pictures

Carter working on the bubble mower...
Will swinging with his daddy

He also helped Eddie water the grass, which was so much fun for him. Cute boy!
On Sunday, Eddie pressure washed the back patio (which looks so great btw) and Will and Carter were BIG helpers :). They inspected it before they let their daddy use it.

I let them swim in their pools all weekend, since it will soon be too chilly for them. Will was excited.

I LOVE this shot of Carter. What a babydoll!

They had such a ball in the water.

Summer is not officially over until after our BEACH TRIP :)! We are going in a couple of weeks and let's just say that I CAN'T WAIT. It will be the boy's first trip and our first family vacation.
Have a great week everyone!

Ella's backyard birthday bash

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Ella Pollan's birthday party. They had a HUGE slide, swimming pools, a sandbox and a bouncer. All of the kiddos had a blast and mine had no trouble going to bed that night :). We had a great time celebrating that precious baby girl's birthday!!!

My little Carter bug at the bottom of the slide... the water felt great! I put him on it a couple of times and he loved it. I love his expression!

Will at the bottom of the slide... I know he looks extremely burned, but he was just hot. I never convinced him to go down the slide :(. He very much enjoyed watching the other kids.

The birthday girl... she is adorable.

Carter digging sand with the birthday girl. I love his curls and Ella's sweet bathing suit :)!

This was Will's position for the majority of the party. Maybe next time he will join in on the fun... he is a mess!

Happy birthday, sweet Ella! The cupcakes were yummy.

This little adorable guy is Chase Gapen... he is as sweet as he can be!

Will enjoying a snack with the birthday girl... too bad he took someone else's snack!!! He is a little STINKER!

We can't wait to see what Ashley will do next year :). Thanks so much for including us on Ella's special day. We had so much fun!!!

14 months old

Our little Carter bug was 14 months old this past Saturday. This baby boy has really come out of his shell over this past month and he thinks he rules the household!!! He can officially come down the stairs on his bottom (we are right beside him, of course) and he is so proud of himself! He is trying to be WAY to independent already, which is kind of nice, but also very sad... he is my BABY!

His new words over the past month are: Will, Love you, Bite, La-la (the boys call Amy La-La), bite, toot-toot, yum, yes and his FAVORITE, NO-NO-NO (while shaking his head :)).

Also, he and his brother are pretty big buddies... they share everything; food, drinks, pacis (that are being taken away completely after vacation!!!), and what ever else they can find to put in the other one's mouth. They also fight with each other and Carter is a tough little guy!!!

Here are some pictures of the little guy:

A side view of Carter's curls... his hair is beautiful! Erin, this one is for you :)!

Who can resist his sweet smile?

Carter being his daddy's little snugglebug

Love this little guy!

Weekend Fun

Eddie's birthday was this past Thursday, so we celebrated all weekend with family. The boys loved singing Happy Birthday to their daddy! Happy birthday, Eddie... we love you!

Friday night, my parents came to Collierville and we all went to Longhorn Steakhouse... it was delicious! They took Will back to Booneville and Carter was the only one at home... I think he enjoyed it! Can you tell?
Saturday night, we went to Harvey's in Tupelo with Eddie's parents.... it was delicious also!!!
Will trying to feed Carter a lime!

I WISH that I had a picture of him when he first bit into this lime... it was HILARIOUS. He held on to it for the rest of dinner. I am not sure it gets much cuter!

Daddy and Will after dinner... handome boys. Will looks like such a little boy now!

Group picture of the boys and Eddie with Nana and Papaw.

Today, after church Will flipped over the ball pit and he and Carter had lots of fun!
My adorable Will...
Carter bug... are his eyes beautiful or what???

Carter with his momma... Will wanted no part of the picture!

Backyard fun after lunch... I love Carter's dimples in his legs! He is a little ham!

Fun at the lake

The Tapps invited us to Pickwick on Saturday. It was Will's first time on a boat and we had a GREAT time!!! The weather was perfect, the water felt awesome and we even grilled in a cove! Thanks so much for having us, Justin, Shae and Porter :)!

Our little Carter bug spent the day with my parents and Cash. We weren't too sure how long he would last out on the water, so we left him; but don't worry, he was spoiled rotten by the time we got back, as you can imagine :). He rode the 4-wheeler for the first time and had a blast playing outside all day long!

Here is a picture of Eddie waking up to a sweet little boy :).

Will and I on the water... he was a little unsure at first, but LOVED it after he got over his fear!
Will and his best buddy, Porter... handsome little guys!
Shae-Shae (as Will calls her) getting her "Porter-line" :)
FYI, I took an obnoxious amount of pictures of Will :)... he was just TOO CUTE!
Enjoying the ride

Daddy and Will
"CHEESE"... it just doesn't get much sweeter than this!
Uhm... he will get me one day for this one. Can we say slide show??? What a cute little booty!
Will and Porter being naked "dueys", as Porter calls it. They threw rocks, swam and jumped off the boat... life was good for these two!

Chilling out... he slept very well that night.
Me and my VERY handsome guys after church today(LOVE THEM)! We went to church with Eddie's parents and sister and had a wonderful lunch afterwards. We had a great time with family today!
My wiped out little Carter... he is having a rough time cutting molars! Poor little guy.

Have a great week everyone!!!

13 months old

Our little Carter bug was 13 months old on the 7th! This past month seems to have gone by especially fast! Carter is such a precious little guy. He is speaking his own little language and learned to say Will this month :), sneaks up the stairs any chance he gets (he is afraid to come down though, which makes momma proud!), LOVES being outdoors and is becoming very independent. He is also getting his 1 year molars, which has been rather painful, but not too bad... he is tough!

Here are some pictures....

He is his daddy made over!
He has a sweet, playful and laid back personality..
The little boy below is his best friend... they are playing really well together and Carter adores him. Will has started to take care of Carter, which melts my heart!

I love his hair.... I may never cut it and, of course, those thighs are tooooo adorable :).

This month also brought a MAJOR boo-boo. A little boy at the Ms. Kathy's house nailed Carter with a toy, which left a huge gash and bloody nose on my little precious :(. I know these things happen, but it broke his momma's heart. Don't worry, we gave Will a pep talk about taking up for his little brother, so this should not be a problem in the future :)!

This is such a fun stage... I ask him all the time to be my little 1 year old forever!
Have a great weekend!
