BIG BOY HAIRCUT

I went to Dallas last week for work and I came home to find a completely different version of Carter Chittom.  He was taken for a hair cut where all of his sweet curls were snipped off completely :(.  (Not to name any names, but don't worry, Mammaw - I will get over it soon)!  He is still cutest little boy ever.  He loves his hair; and more than anything, he loves brushing it and not using Momma's hair gel (to protect against frizz of course :)).  Here are some pictures.. DESTIN 2012

We went to Destin for vacation last week and were joined by Papaw and Nana.  I expected the drive to be tough, but my Will and Carter chilled and enjoyed the ride. 

I must say that I have never experienced as much rain on a beach trip as we did on Thursday and Friday but luckily the sun came out at least a few hours each day so that we could enjoy some beach/pool time!  On Saturday around noon, the sun came out and it was beautiful until we left Sunday morning.  We found ways to entertain ourselves during the rain.  MOST of all, I watched 2 little boys have the time of their life.  They LOVED being on vacation and we all enjoyed making wonderful memories with our precious little beach bums!!! 

It was hard to narrow down pictures, so be prepared... and enjoy :).

The first night the boys only wanted the pool.  We stayed at Silver Shells in SanDestin and there were so many fun pools.

They were amazed with the lagoon pool and the ocean! 

The next day, when the rain stopped, you could hear the laughter and feet stomping for miles when these kiddos headed down for some fun in the sun.

We could not wait for the beach the next day.  The boys ran the whole way!

Carter called it the 'big sand'.  He rolled in it and played harder than I have ever seen him.

Later that night, we walked down to the Back Porch for some grub.  It was a great atmosphere and we played in the sand after.

The next day, we could not wait for the beach.  Will and Carter became pretty good little sandcastle builders this trip.

That evening after Fudpuckers, we headed to the Track for some go-cart fun.  Will rode with Papaw and Carter rode with Daddy.  Papaw and Will beat everyone.  Will was Mr. Serious and was happy with the victory.  Gary said that he turned perfectly in each curve.  It was too sweet.  Carter and Daddy enjoyed the ride.  After the boys rode rides... I think you could hear them laughing for miles while they enjoyed some rides.  It was SO MUCH FUN!

On Saturday morning, we headed to the Gulfarium.  We caught the end of a dolphin show and a sea lion show.  The boys loved it... especially the sharks and dolphins.

The rest of Saturday was spent being beach bums.  I only have one picture from the beach this day b/c I spent the rest of the time playing in the sand and ocean with the boys.  Carter finally got in the ocean and we had a blast!

The boys went up for a nap and Daddy and I got to lounge for a while.  It was heavenly.  When I got to the room, this is what I found.  Mr. Cool Dude!

Daddy and Momma's date night.  Louisiana Laganiappe... my FAVE.  This was my first time at the one in Destin.  It was delicious and we had a fun night.

We enjoyed a wonderful trip with our sweet family and are so blessed.  I am already looking forward to next year!   

Cash's 5th birthday party!

This past Saturday, we went to Tupelo to the sprinkler park for Cash's 5th birtday party.  It is so hard to believe how fast all of these kiddos are growing.  It was a fun day celebrating one special and adorable little boy!
